An Energetic Link
An acupuncturist treats an illness or disharmony through the insertion of a needle in an acupuncture point in order to tap into the Qi of the body by way of the point and by way of the channel in which the point lies. The sensations that a patient might feel after the insertion of a needle at a specific point may be one or more of the following: tingling, numbness, ache, traveling warmth, or heaviness. When these sensations are perceived by the Patient, " Qi is said to have arrived or obtained"
