| Lida's
childhood
Lida Ahmady was born in Kabul, Afghanistan
where she lived happily until the age of eleven. She and her family
fled the country in the early eighties after the Russian invasion of
Afghanistan. After living in Pakistan for two years, Lida arrived to
New York in 1986 and has lived here ever since.

is a Dynamic Woman
Lida has always been keen on serving people. She supported herself through
out college and graduate studies by managing some of New York's Finest
restaurants such as C.T. Claude Triogoes, and The Markham. She was also
a successful sales associate at Cole Haan.
She is a co-founder and board member of "School of Hope”
SOH: a non-for profit organization committed to the education of children
in Afghanistan. In her efforts to raise funds for SOH, Lida also works
to expose the diversity and richness of Eastern cultures to her Western
public. Prior to and after September 11th, Lida continues to participate
in local and international forums, interviews, and panel discussions
to highlight the interdependence of our global community.
Lida is also a member of the Institute for Hermetic Philosophy, where
she learns to apply practical and technical modalities in her life to
become a more conscious individual.
Lida is also currently an active member of The Acupuncture Society
of NY.
